Senior Operations Financial Analyst

Essential Duties:

  • Consolidate operations department expenses, headcount and capital spending report; perform department cost analysis and provide commentary
  • Coordinate FP&A activities with finance team and operations leaders
  • Support cost center expense review, analysis and research
  • Support quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting
  • Assist cost saving project validation and tracking
    Support Operations FP&A processes by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures, providing trends and forecasts, supporting annual budget and standard cost roll process
  • Improve financial status by analyzing Operations financial results; monitoring manufacturing variances; identifying trends and giving recommendations
  • Reconcile transactions and manage month close activities for department cost re-classes and accruals
  • Implement structure to support business needs
  • Responsible for month-end closing activities for manufacturing variance in absorption, purchase price and work order
  • Assist with standard cost maintenance and inventory analysis
    Prepare required month end journal entries for activities above

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 5+ years’ of relevant experience
  • Proficient understanding of accounting in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong business acumen, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to complete multiple priorities within tight deadlines
  • Ability to interface with all levels of management
  • Experience with Oracle ERP systems and Hyperion a plus
