Finance Business Partner – Innovation & Efficiency
Our Florida client is a $1B+ industrial manufacturer with manufacturing, In the US, Europe and PacRim. We are conducting a national search  for a strategic thinking professional based within the FP&A function to vet and coordinate initiatives associated with product development, launch while coordinating with Marketing Sales and Manufacturing. If you have worked with both a large company with strong resources and enjoy an entrepreneurial company environment, this is a terrific opportunity for you. In short 50% of this role will be regularly speaking with stake holders to make sure new initiatives are not bogged down with “add on” ideas and other initiatives that cause  processes to slow and become less profitable. The other 50% will be forecasting and looking at case studies on the viability  of various ideas.

 

Overview

Leading a small team, the FPB – Innovation will provide modelling, analysis and healthy challenge to our Innovation, Technology, Value Enhancement and Process Improvement teams to ensure we are making the right investments in product, process and people to support our goals. The successful candidate will be key to the delivery of Alliance’s stretching short-, medium- and long-term growth plans .

Responsibilities

·         Support the evaluation of projects by collating and vetting inputs and providing financial modelling including identifying risks and opportunities and their potential impacts to the project outcomes

·         Monitor project performance, providing regular updates to the business on cost tracking and any required changes to commercial assumptions that could impact the project

·         Act as a critical friend to the Innovation, Technology and Process Improvement teams

·         Develop and monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances

·         Partner with leadership to manage cost center expenses and ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting. Identifying and communicating all risks and opportunities

·         Provide management with financial advice and counsel by supplying ongoing, timely, and meaningful financial analysis of actual performance, business plans, and projects

·         Ensure application of efficient and effective financial and operating controls within the Company

·         Guide the development of daily, weekly and monthly reporting packages with timely and easy to understand summaries of financial results

Qualifications

Education & Work Experience:

·         Bachelor’s degree qualification in relevant field (Finance/Accounting/Technology/Engineering etc.) or significant relevant work experience

·         7+ years of experience with at least 5 years of financial management experience

Knowledge And Skills

·         Strong analytical skills capable of interpreting financial implications of strategic decisions

·         Strong Excel skills in building working models and business management tools at pace. IBM Planning Analytics/Cognos TM1 knowledge is a plus

·         Experience in translating complex business requirements into simple deliverables quickly based on understand needs vs. wants

·         Ability to work with large quantities of data and distill down to focused, meaningful insight

·         Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Ability to prepare and present ad hoc presentations and analyses to senior management

·         Proven ability to collaborate with cross functional business partners and the ability to influence the outcome of strategic decisions

·         Ability to influence without authority and comfortable providing feedback and challenge appropriately to all levels within the organization

·         Displays the drive and curiosity needed to be an integral partner to the business

·         Results-oriented to ensure deliverables are submitted in an accurate, complete and timely fashion

·         Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, global environment
